Dr. Lori West is a pediatric transplant cardiologist and transplant immunologist at the University of Alberta. She is Director of the Alberta Transplant Institute and founding Director/co-founder of the Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program. Her research helped establish infant heart transplantation across the ABO blood-group barrier, making her a prominent scientific leader in transplantation rather than an investor.
