Cynthia Kenyon is an American molecular biologist and leading aging researcher known for landmark discoveries showing that single-gene changes can dramatically extend the lifespan of C. elegans. She is Vice President, Aging Research at Calico and Professor Emeritus at the University of California, San Francisco. Kenyon also co-founded Elixir Pharmaceuticals and has held major scientific leadership roles including membership in the National Academy of Sciences and former president of the Genetics Society of America.
