BioMarin announced in 2020 that he joined the company as Group Vice President and Head of Research and Early Development, while QurAlis lists him as a founder and Scientific Advisory Board member. He is also a 2006 MacArthur Fellow, and MIT Biology identifies him as a Harvard professor.
