About
Alex K. Shalek is a biomedical engineer and professor at MIT, where he serves as Director of the Institute for Medical Engineering and Science (IMES) and J. W. Kieckhefer Professor in IMES and the Department of Chemistry. His research focuses on single-cell genomics, immunology, and cross-disciplinary tools spanning genomics, chemical biology, and nanotechnology to study human disease. He also holds affiliated roles at the Broad Institute, Ragon Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, and serves on the scientific advisory board of Relation Therapeutics.
