About
Mauro Costa-Mattioli is a neuroscientist focused on memory, protein homeostasis, the integrated stress response, and the gut-brain axis. He is a Principal Investigator at Altos Labs' Bay Area Institute of Science and an Adjunct Professor of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine, where he previously served as a full professor, Cullen Foundation Endowed Chair, and director of the Memory & Brain Research Center. He also serves on scientific and editorial bodies including the National Academies' Board on Life Sciences and the editorial board of Scientific Reports.
