Jose A. Cancelas is a hematology and transfusion-medicine physician-scientist focused on cell therapies, stem cell biology, and blood product innovation. He joined Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2024 as Executive Director of the Connell and O'Reilly Families Cell Manipulation Core Facility and serves on the Harvard Medical School faculty. Previously he led Hoxworth Blood Center at the University of Cincinnati and held leadership roles at Cincinnati Children's Hospital; he also serves in scientific advisory and professional-association leadership positions.
