Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte is a developmental and regenerative-medicine scientist best known for work on stem-cell biology, cell reprogramming, and aging-related therapeutics. He is a Founding Scientist and Senior Vice President at Altos Labs, where he focuses on programming cell health and rejuvenation. He was previously the Roger Guillemin Chair and Professor at the Salk Institute and is also listed on the UC San Diego School of Biological Sciences faculty pages.
