Yuriy Kirichok is a membrane biophysicist and mitochondrial physiology researcher who, as of May 1, 2025, is listed by Washington University in St. Louis as a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics. He is also co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Equator Therapeutics, a biotech company developing therapies based on mitochondrial thermogenesis. Earlier reporting states that he and Polina Lishko moved to Harvard for postdoctoral work and that he was appointed an assistant professor at UCSF in 2006.
