Roxane Cohen Silver is a social and health psychologist at the University of California, Irvine, where she serves as Vice Provost for Institutional Research, Assessment, and Planning and as a Distinguished Professor of Psychology, Public Health, and Medicine. Her research focuses on how individuals and communities cope with traumatic life events, including terrorism, disasters, and pandemics. She has also held national advisory and scientific leadership roles, including service on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Advisory Council and leadership in behavioral-science organizations.
