Astrid Gillich, Ph.D., is a scientist focused on lung biology, aging, and age-related disease. She is a Principal Investigator at Calico Life Sciences, where her lab studies alveolar cells and mechanisms to maintain or restore lung function during aging. Before Calico, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University and led influential work on alveolar capillary cell specialization.
