Carolyn Bertozzi is a Stanford chemist, chemical biologist, and Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator best known for founding the field of bioorthogonal chemistry, for which she received the 2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. She serves as the Baker Family Director of Sarafan ChEM-H at Stanford and has translated her research into multiple biotechnology companies and board roles across therapeutics and diagnostics. Her work spans glycobiology, cancer, immunology, molecular imaging, and new therapeutic modalities such as LYTACs.
