Jim Collins is an American business researcher, author, and advisor best known for books including Good to Great and Built to Last. He taught at Stanford Graduate School of Business, won Stanford's Distinguished Teaching Award in 1992, and founded a management laboratory in Boulder, Colorado in 1995.
