Greg Hannon was a prominent molecular cancer biologist and professor whose work focused on small RNAs, cancer biology, genomics, and spatial biology. He served as Director of the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, held leadership roles at the New York Genome Center and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and co-founded the spinouts Suil Vision and Faeth Therapeutics. Cancer Grand Challenges states he died in April 2026.
