João Ribas is a Portuguese curator, writer, and arts executive born in Braga in 1979. In 2020, CalArts appointed him Executive Director of REDCAT and Vice President for Cultural Partnerships after his tenure as director of the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art in Porto. He has also held positions at the MIT List Visual Arts Center and the Drawing Center, and has taught at Yale, RISD, and the School of Visual Arts.
