Robert Hromas, MD, FACP is a hematology-oncology physician-scientist and the dean of the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. He previously served as chair of medicine at the University of Florida and, in 2024, served as acting president of UT Health San Antonio before leadership changes tied to the UTSA integration in early 2025. He has published extensively, maintained NIH funding for over three decades, and co-founded biotech companies including Dialectic Therapeutics and Abfero.
