Christine Mummery is a developmental biologist and stem-cell researcher best known for her work in cardiovascular disease modelling, human pluripotent stem cells, and organ-on-chip systems. She has served as Professor of Developmental Biology and Chair of Anatomy and Embryology at Leiden University Medical Centre, held a professorship in vascular modelling at the University of Twente, and served on the board of Galapagos. Public sources also show her in major field-shaping roles including ISSCR president in 2021 and recipient of the 2023 ISSCR Public Service Award.
