Viviana Gradinaru is a neuroscientist and bioengineer at the California Institute of Technology, where she is the Lois and Victor Troendle Professor of Neuroscience and Biological Engineering. She is also an HHMI Investigator and Director of Caltech's Richard N. Merkin Institute for Translational Research. Her research focuses on neurotechnologies, blood-brain-barrier biology, gene-delivery vectors, and tools to understand and repair nervous systems.
