Roger D. Kornberg is an American biochemist, Nobel laureate in Chemistry (2006), and professor of structural biology at Stanford University School of Medicine. His research on the molecular basis of eukaryotic transcription made him a leading figure in molecular biology and genomics. He also serves in scientific advisory and board roles across biotechnology companies including Replay, Pretzel Therapeutics, Interna, and previously Protalix and Teva.
