Rajendra S. Apte, MD, PhD is a physician-scientist and retina specialist at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he is the Paul A. Cibis Distinguished Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and Vice Chair for Innovation and Translation. His research focuses on age-related macular degeneration, retinal neurodegeneration, inflammation, metabolism, angiogenesis, and glaucoma-related biomarkers.
