Sergei M. Gryaznov, PhD, is the Chief Scientific Officer of MAIA Biotechnology, a clinical-stage oncology company developing telomere-targeting therapies. MAIA describes him as an internationally recognized scientist in drug discovery, oncology, telomerase, and nucleic-acid therapeutics, and credits him as co-inventor of the therapeutic approach underlying THIO/ateganosine. He holds degrees from M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University and completed postdoctoral training at Northwestern University.
