Srini Akkaraju, M.D., Ph.D., is the founder and managing general partner of Samsara BioCapital, a biotech venture firm focused on therapeutics. He previously held investing roles at Sofinnova Ventures, New Leaf Venture Partners, Panorama Capital, and J.P. Morgan Partners, and earlier worked in business and corporate development at Genentech. He holds an M.D./Ph.D. in Immunology from Stanford University and undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Computer Science from Rice University.
