Melanie Newman is a UK journalist whose work has focused on health, lobbying, and political funding. According to her TBIJ profile, she became a journalist in 2000, worked on a specialist health service journal, then served as chief reporter and deputy news editor at Times Higher Education. She joined The Bureau of Investigative Journalism in 2010 and left in 2018 after contributing to several of its higher-profile investigations.
