Rie Schultz Hansen, PhD is a biotech R&D executive and scientist focused on cardio-metabolic, inflammatory, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, and peptide-therapeutics programs. She became Chief Scientific Officer of Augustine Therapeutics in May 2025 after serving as CSO at Aelin Therapeutics and holding multiple senior research roles at Zealand Pharma, including Vice President, Head of Discovery and Innovation, and interim CSO responsibilities. She also serves on the board of the Peptide Therapeutics Foundation and has been involved with Danish cardiovascular research and grant committees.
