Norn Group opens applications for its updated Talent Bridge program for people outside the US who want to work on aging
Applicants go through a selection process, complete a project involving roughly 100 hours of work, and receive help relocating to the US. The program connects publication-ready work with mentors, a community, and potential host organizations. A payment of around $10 000 is offered upon completion of the collaborative project.
Norn first launched Talent Bridge in 2022. On September 12, Norn Group opened applications for the updated program, which is intended for people living outside the US who are ready to work on aging research.
Applicants begin by proposing a project. Those selected complete the work according to individually agreed milestones, spending roughly 100 hours over three weeks to four months. The official Talent Bridge page states that the result should be ready for publication and that a payment of around $10 000 is available upon completion of the collaborative project.
The program includes Longevity Nexus, Norn’s community where participants share experience, find collaborators, and receive mentoring. To support relocation, Norn promises introductions to potential host organizations, help with legal and practical matters, and guidance through visa procedures. These include O-1, a US visa for people with extraordinary ability or achievement.
Norn’s announcement describes some early participants. Marton Meszaros examined gaps in human data and validation methods needed to develop biomarkers of aging and is launching a company in the US. Nicolas Di Leo prepared an analysis of rapamycin clinical trials.
“We look for potential and focus rather than formal qualifications,” Norn Group writes in the announcement.
Talent Bridge organizes the entire process around a completed project. Publication-ready work gives applicants a concrete result to discuss with mentors and potential host organizations. The program then offers connections and help relocating to the US.
