The record is thin. In the April 28, 2017 Wayback snapshot, we do not see a mission statement at all, only Internet Archive capture metadata. That means we cannot say what Abliva believed or claimed on its site at that point. We can only say the snapshot gives us nothing usable. By June 8, 2020, the company is explicit. Abliva says it develops treatments for mitochondrial diseases with inadequate treatment options, and it ties that mission to a scientific view: drug candidates that preserve mitochondrial integrity and improve mitochondrial function can help treat those diseases. It also broadens the framing a bit, presenting the work as part of a general effort to improve health care. What changed is visibility and specificity, not necessarily the underlying direction. In 2020 the company gives a clear disease focus, a mechanism-level belief, and a mission-to-clinic story. What stayed stable is harder to judge because 2017 is effectively blank in the evidence we have.
