exploratoryplatform · medium · Tue Nov 04 2025 00:00:00 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)
Create oral medicines that increase energy expenditure through controlled mitochondrial uncoupling for obesity, MASH, and broader cardiometabolic diseases.
Proprietary energy-expenditure platform based on mitochondrial uncoupling and Controlled Metabolic Accelerators; preclinical work evaluated fat-specific weight loss and GLP-1 augmentation.
2025 preclinical obesity poster reported an oral Controlled Metabolic Accelerator drives fat-specific weight loss and augments GLP-1 effect.
Supplied publication title indicates preclinical CMA data showing fat-specific weight loss and augmentation of GLP-1 effect.
HU6
phase 2drug program · high · Mon Oct 13 2025 00:00:00 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)
Develop an oral Controlled Metabolic Accelerator therapy for MASH/NASH and obesity-related cardiometabolic disease, including reducing liver fat, improving adiposity markers, and promoting fat-specific weight loss without meaningful muscle loss.
Oral small-molecule HU6 administered in randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2/2a trials including M-ACCEL/AMPLIFY for MASH/NASH, HuMAIN-HFpEF for obesity-related HFpEF, and studies in overweight or obese subjects with type 2 diabetes; additional Phase 1 pharmacokinetic, formulation, relative bioavailability, food-effect, and mass-balance studies.
Ongoing AMPLIFY Phase 2 MASH trial and multiple HU6 clinical pharmacology/formulation studies, including a Phase 1 open-label randomized HU6 safety and pharmacokinetics study published 2025-10-13.
M-ACCEL topline results reported HU6 reduced liver fat and improved adiposity markers in adults with MASH. In HuMAIN-HFpEF, HU6 reduced body weight, total fat mass, and percentage visceral fat versus placebo, with no significant loss of muscle mass; no significant changes were seen in peak VO2, 6-minute walk distance, KCCQ score, inflammatory marker, NT-proBNP, or diastolic function.
