company mission
PureTech's mission barely moves across these three statements. In 2013 and 2014, the company says the core idea plainly: take on major healthcare problems through radical, cross-disciplinary innovation, work with leading scientist-inventors and industry partners, and find novel products with capital- and time-efficient paths to market. That is the spine of the message, and it stays intact. By 2015, the wording becomes more company-building and pipeline-oriented. PureTech still talks about hard health problems and cross-disciplinary problem-solving, but it adds sharper operational language: a science and technology R&D company, a milestone-driven pipeline, and the ambition to disrupt large healthcare markets. That looks like a shift in emphasis from invention process alone toward portfolio construction and commercial scale. The evidence for a deeper strategic change is thin. These snapshots read more like a refinement of positioning than a rewrite of purpose. The stable belief is that difficult health problems need unusual, cross-field approaches. The modest change is that, by 2015, PureTech presents that belief with more explicit market and pipeline discipline.
