Olatec's position barely moved between July 9, 2017 and January 4, 2018. In both snapshots, the company says the same basic thing: it wants to improve health worldwide by developing safe, effective anti inflammatory drugs, and it treats dapansutrile (OLT1177) as the flagship example of a new class of orally active, non narcotic small molecules. The therapeutic theory also stayed stable. Olatec kept arguing that these compounds could work across a broad range of inflammatory, especially autoinflammatory, diseases, while offering a better safety and cost profile than biologics or oral kinase inhibitors. The January 2018 version tightens the phrasing a bit and calls the company clinical stage, but that is a positioning update, not a real change in scientific belief. Evidence for deeper evolution is thin because the two statements are so close in time and so similar in substance.
