genomic dark matter for anti-fibrotic drug discovery
Very little changed between August 13, 2020 and January 18, 2021. Haya Therapeutics kept the same core claim: the neglected parts of the genome, branded as genomic "Dark Matter," are not junk and can be mined for first-in-class anti-fibrotic drugs. Same thesis, same disease area, same commercial pitch. What did change? Mostly wording. The later statement adds a softer "we believe" frame, but the substance is the same. This is not a strategic pivot or even much of a refinement. It is the same bet with slightly different polish. What stayed stable is clearer than what evolved: anti-fibrotic focus, dark-matter branding, and the claim that underused genomic information hides useful therapeutic targets. What is missing is evidence. These snapshots show messaging, not proof, and they do not say whether the company narrowed its mechanism, validated targets, or produced data that made the claim less speculative. So the belief evolution here is basically flat. The company repeated the same idea across two nearby snapshots. That can mean conviction. It can also mean the story had not yet faced enough public evidence to change.
