Aubrey de Grey is a British biogerontologist and the foremost evangelist for radical life extension, best known for developing the SENS (Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence) framework for combating aging. He co-founded the Methuselah Foundation (2003) and SENS Research Foundation (2009), personally donating $13 million of a $16.5 million inheritance to SENS. After departing SENS in 2021, he founded the LEV (Longevity Escape Velocity) Foundation, where he currently serves as President and Chief Science Officer, directing research funding toward damage-repair approaches to aging.
